On Anthony's Song, gallows humor and April Fools' Day

When the cafeteria burned down at the high school in the town where I live, I didn't believe it at first, because it was April 1st and I thought it was some sort of prank. Similar thing with Anthony's Song and gallows humor. Billy Joel is still alive, but I've become so conditioned to one particular instance of gallows humor involving said song that if he does join everyone else that 2017 has unfairly taken from us too soon, I probably won't believe it at first. I mean, I hope he doesn't die this year, or the next year, or ever, but...
